Below is a summary of the bike accident claims that the personal injury specialists in the personal injury claims department at Osbornes Solicitors settled in March 2012.
Bicycle collision with car leaves cyclist with neck injury
Our client was cycling his bicycle on a main road in Central London when a motor vehicle suddenly turned right in front of him onto a side road and he crashed in to the bonnet. Our client suffered soft tissue injuries to his neck and had a week off work.
The injuries lasted approximately nine months and we recovered £3,200 in compensation for our client.
Serious motorbike accident victim suffers from broken leg
Our client PC was riding his motorbike on a road when a car turned into a petrol station in front of him and knocked him off his bike. PC suffered a broken leg and was so traumatised by the accident that he felt unable to get back on a motorbike which meant that he could not work. As part of the settlement we were able to arrange for PC to have counselling which was paid for by the driver’s insurers and eventually he was able to start driving again.
We recovered £17,000 for PC as well as the cost of the counselling.
