Read moreSophie Davies is head of Osbornes’ award winning personal injury department. She has been a partner at Osbornes for 15 years.
A catastrophic injury litigator with over 20 years’ experience, she acts only for Claimants and specialises in claims for brain injury, amputation and polytrauma/complex orthopaedic injuries. Most of her cases arise from accidents at work or road traffic accidents, including cycle accidents.
She heads up the Spanish lawyers team and has many clients from Spain, and from the Spanish community in the UK.
Sophie understands how crucial early access to rehabilitation is in improving outcomes for injured people, no more so than in cases of traumatic brain injury. Osbornes has close links with Headway East London, a fantastic charity dedicated to the support and rehabilitation of people with acquired brain injury. Sophie is a contributor to their blog page.
Sophie is undeterred by difficult cases and will fight hard to put an interim payment in the hands of her clients at the earliest opportunity.
Sophie is on the Law Society personal injury panel, is an APIL accredited senior litigator and is recognised as a leading practitioner in both Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. She was educated at the University of Oxford, the University of Wales and the College of Law.
She is always happy to answer queries from prospective clients.

Sophie Davies specialises in brain injury and lower limb amputation cases.
"Sophie and Elma were invaluable in guiding me through the process of making my insurance claim, and helped me reach the best possible outcome from the worst possible situation. The tremendous loss I dealt with from the accident was absolutely compensated for, and I would have been beyond incapable of achieving this without their help. It doesn’t beg thinking what I would have done without them.""
A niche firm that punches well above its weight in the catastrophic injury sector, borne out by the quality of work they obtain.
Ben Posford is one of London’s best catastrophic injury lawyers, in my view. He is a real brain injury specialist.
“You've been the most amazing, understanding, professional, compassionate [and] respectful... I did not dream I could end up in better hands. There are no words to describe my appreciation and gratitude.”
"Excellent help and advice from Sophie in a car accident claim. The work was done on no win no fee basis, the final fee was very reasonable, very satisfied with the outcome which we would not have achieved without such a knowledgeable advice."
"Sophie Davies' guidance and suggested opportunities to strengthen my case as well her experienced and supportive handling of issues that arose over the twenty months, made the whole experience predictable and stress free. I have no hesitation in highly recommending Osbornes."
"I would like to say, I was lucky to have Sophie Davies as a lawyer. She was very good at explaining in detail the legal terms, clarifying the procedure and the possibilities. She has a very deep knowledge and experience."
“Thank you and thank you once again for all your hard work and support through it all. ”
“I am really happy with the result Osbornes solicitors got me and that I received such a personal, friendly service and support throughout.”

A claim for a Spanish man who sustained multiple life changing injuries in a horrific road accident. Although able to work it was clear that the Claimant’s future employment options and income would be curtailed by his injuries. Medical experts in 12 different specialisms were involved. The claim settled when the Defendant accepted the Claimant’s offer of £1 million the day before trial.
£650,000 recovered for a manual worker who sustained a broken ankle after slipping on ice. The young man was left with a limp and reduced standing capacity.
Sophie has run a number of cases involving vehicular trespass including the frequently cited Flint v Tittensor and the MIB [2015] EWHC 466 (QB).
