Sophie Davies is a catastrophic injury litigator with over 20 years’ experience. She specialises in claims for brain injury and polytrauma/complex orthopaedic injuries, mainly arising from accidents at work and road accidents.
Sophie has been a Partner at Osbornes for 9 years. She manages a team of solicitors in the personal injury department and also heads up the Spanish team. She has many clients from Spain, and from the Spanish community in the UK.
Sophie and Osbornes have close links with Headway East London, a charity dedicated to the support and rehabilitation of people with acquired brain injury. Sophie is a regular contributor to their blog page.
Sophie understands how crucial early access to rehabilitation is in improving outcomes for injured people and fights hard to put interim payments in the hands of her clients at the earliest opportunity.
Recent case highlights include:
A claim for a Spanish man who sustained multiple life changing injuries in a horrific road accident. Although able to work it was clear that the Claimant’s future employment options and income would be curtailed by his injuries. Medical experts in 12 different specialisms were involved. The claim settled when the Defendant accepted the Claimant’s offer of £1 million the day before trial.
£650,000 recovered for a manual worker who sustained a broken ankle after slipping on ice. The young man was left with a limp and reduced standing capacity.
Sophie has run a number of cases involving vehicular trespass including the frequently cited Flint v Tittensor and the MIB EWHC 466 (QB).
Sophie’s clients say:
“I am really happy with the result Osbornes solicitors got me and that I received such a personal, friendly service and support throughout.”
“Thank you and thank you once again for all your hard work and support through it all. ”
Sophie is always happy to answer enquiries about new claims and understands that the decision whether to bring a claim is not always straightforward.
Sophie is on the Law Society personal injury panel and is an APIL accredited senior litigator. She was educated at the University of Oxford and the University of Wales.
Sophie lives in beautiful North London with her husband, 2 sons and Hank the dog.
