Recent Case Highlights:
Sophie acted for a young man whose leg was crushed against a wall when he lost control of the pump truck he was operating. Non –union of the tibia and fibula meant our client was unable to weight bear for 18 months and there was a risk of amputation. Despite a denial of liability from all 3 defendants a package of rehabilitation was approved and our client went on to make an excellent recovery. The settlement of £300,000 allowed for investment in a new business venture and a successful career change.
Sophie acted for a woman who was hit by a car and sustained severe multiple leg fractures and psychiatric injury. Liability was denied in the face of unfavourable independent witness evidence. Rehabilitation included re-training and extensive psychotherapy. The claim ultimately settled for a six figure sum.
Sophie brought proceedings in the High Court in the case of an elderly woman who sustained permanent shoulder injury after falling. The care experts were diametrically opposed in their views on the degree to which the claimant’s general poor health was the cause of her need for future care. Claim settled post joint statements for a six figure sum.
What our clients say:
“From my first meeting with Sophie regarding my accident I was alway 100% confident that she would get the best possible outcome. Sophie was professional but warm and was sympathetic to the case, I never doubted any of her advice and felt every move was made with my best interest in mind. I am over the moon with the outcome of my claim, I received a settlement much higher than I imagined when I first contacted Osbornes and would recommend them to anybody.”
