Osbornes Law sponsors the Canterbury Bike Ride and partners with Iconic Cycling Events
We’re delighted to have sponsored this year’s Canterbury Bike Ride, held on Sunday 19 July at Canterbury Rugby Club, and to announce that we are partnering with Iconic Cycling Events, the team behind the ride and a growing calendar of cycling sportives across the UK.
The Canterbury Bike Ride is a much-loved fixture on the Kent cycling calendar, drawing together riders of every level for a day of scenic countryside cycling, good company and a real sense of achievement at the finish line. It’s the kind of event that brings out the best of the sport: welcoming, community-spirited and open to anyone willing to give it a go. We were proud to support this year’s ride and to see so many riders take part.
As their new legal partners, our specialist cycling injury team will be on hand to support Iconic Cycling Events and their riders, drawing on the experience we’ve built supporting seriously injured cyclists and their families after road collisions. Cycling should be something people can enjoy safely, whether they’re taking part in an organised ride, training, commuting or simply out on the bike, and that’s the spirit we bring to this partnership.
It’s a role we know well. We’ve supported London Cycling Campaign members in the same way since 2014, and we’re glad to bring that same experience to Iconic Cycling Events and the riders who take part in their rides.
Sam Collard, Head of Cycling at Osbornes Law, said:
“Events like the Canterbury Bike Ride are what cycling is really about – neighbours, friends and complete strangers turning up to ride together for the sheer enjoyment of it. We’ve been part of the cycling community for a long time now, and it’s important to us to keep showing up for it, on the road and off.”
Sam Collard leads our specialist cycling team and is a recognised voice on cyclist safety. Most recently, he appeared on Good Morning Britain and ITV News to discuss cycling and e-bike safety. Find out more about Sam Collard and his latest media interviews and commentary.
