In a recent interview with the BBC, Sam Collard, Partner at Osbornes Law, addressed a growing concern in the rise in injuries caused by e-bikes for hire.
Over the past six months, Sam has seen a noticeable increase in cases involving pedestrians and other cyclists struck by individuals riding hired e-bikes. A most recent case reported on by the BBC involves an 84-year-old woman who was hit by a hire e-bike whilst crossing the road on a ‘green man’ light.

Sam and his team have also seen a rise in the number of Lime bike accidents causing injuries to riders due to defects in the bikes. The team are currently representing individuals who have sustained serious injuries.
