At Osbornes Law, you can speak directly with a Spanish-speaking solicitor about a personal injury or medical negligence claim. We are a London law firm with over 50 years of experience, and we represent a growing number of Spanish-speaking clients living and working across England and Wales — including Spanish nationals, Latin American nationals, and others who feel most comfortable discussing their case in Spanish.
We work on a no win no fee basis — you pay no legal fees unless your claim succeeds.
Osbornes Law is recommended in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK, two of the most authoritative independent guides to law firms in England and Wales.

The Spanish-speaking community in the UK
Spain has been a member of the European Union since 1986, and Spanish nationals have long been among the most established European communities in the UK. According to the Office for National Statistics, there are approximately 180,000 Spanish-born residents in England and Wales — a figure that grew sharply following the 2008 financial crisis as many younger Spaniards moved to the UK for work and opportunity.
London is home to the largest concentration of Spanish nationals in the UK, with significant communities in areas such as Hammersmith, Fulham, Notting Hill and South Kensington. The UK also has a substantial Latin American population — with communities from Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela and elsewhere — many of whom are also Spanish speakers and may face similar challenges navigating the UK legal system.
Spanish speakers in the UK work across a broad range of sectors: hospitality, healthcare and nursing, education and academia, financial services, construction and property, cleaning and domestic services, and the creative industries. Many hold skilled professional roles; others are in physically demanding work where the risk of a serious accident is higher.
Post-Brexit, Spanish nationals and other EU citizens living in the UK needed to secure settled or pre-settled status under the EU Settlement Scheme. Concerns about immigration status can make some people hesitant to assert their legal rights. Our Spanish-speaking solicitors will clarify exactly how your status affects — or, more accurately, does not affect — your right to bring a claim.
Personal injury claims for Spanish-speaking clients
Spain operates a civil law system, and the approach to personal injury claims for Spanish speakers there differs significantly from how claims work in England and Wales. The UK system is based on common law principles, with compensation calculated in a way that can result in awards substantially higher than a Spanish or Latin American court would typically award for the same injury.
Our Spanish-speaking solicitors will explain how the system works here in clear, plain Spanish — covering what you can claim for, how long the process takes, and what you need to do. You will never be left trying to navigate legal terminology in a second language.
Medical negligence claims for Spanish-speaking clients
Our Spanish-speaking solicitors also represent clients who have suffered harm as a result of substandard medical treatment received in England or Wales.
Medical negligence — also referred to as clinical negligence — arises when the care provided by a doctor, surgeon, nurse or other healthcare professional falls below the standard that a competent practitioner would meet, and that failure causes you injury or makes your condition worse. These cases require specialist legal knowledge and are usually supported by independent expert medical evidence.
Having a lawyer who speaks your language matters enormously in medical negligence claims for Spanish-speaking clients. Describing what happened during appointments, understanding medical terminology, and grasping the legal arguments involved are all considerably harder when you are working in a second language. Our Spanish-speaking solicitors make sure you are fully informed and fully in control of your case at every stage.
No win no fee — what it means for you
We handle nearly all personal injury and medical negligence claims under a Conditional Fee Agreement — known as no win no fee.
Under this arrangement, you pay nothing to start your claim and nothing during the process. If your claim succeeds, our pre-agreed success fee is taken as a percentage of the compensation you receive. If the claim does not succeed, you pay nothing for our legal work.
We also arrange after-the-event insurance at the outset to protect you against the other side’s legal costs if the case is not won. You take on no financial risk.
Our Spanish-speaking solicitors will walk through all of this with you in Spanish at your first consultation, before you commit to anything.
