Fall at shopping centre results in compensation claim

A lady who slipped on a puddle of water when visiting a shopping centre has been awarded £2,675 in compensation.

The fall occurred as she was walking through a shopping centre, the slip caused her to fall backwards to the floor.

Following the accident the lady complained of neck and lower back pain to her GP.

The shopping centre in question denied liability for the accident, they did instead allege that their cleaning contractors were responsible for checking and cleaning the centre.

Following a statement from an independent witness the cleaning company made an offer of compensation which was accepted.
