2 Paralegals in the Housing, Social Care, and Public Law team at Osbornes
Osbornes Law is recruiting for two paralegals to assist partners William Ford and Edward Taylor in the Housing, Social Care and Public Law department with their legal aid caseloads comprising public law, housing, community care, age disputes, and welfare benefit casework. Experience in any of these areas and legal aid generally is desirable.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a successful team and alongside leading individuals ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners directories. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work on interesting and challenging cases, as well as test case litigation. The department is renowned for its work achieving justice for the most marginalised in society.
There are also opportunities for progression within the firm. Many of our solicitors started as paralegals before going onto secure training contracts and then qualifying at the firm.

Clinical Negligence Solicitor: 1 – 3 years PQE
Due to expansion, an opportunity has arisen for a clinical negligence junior solicitor to join the clinical negligence team at Osbornes Law.
This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly respected team. The successful candidate will run their own caseload as well as supporting senior members of the team on more complex high value cases.
The role includes assisting on all aspects of clinical negligence litigation, including meeting clients, preparing pre-action correspondence, drafting court documents, instructing counsel and liaising with some of the country’s leading medical experts. The role affords an excellent opportunity to develop a range of skills and contacts essential for anyone wanting to progress in this area of law.
The ideal candidate will be bright, articulate and enthusiastic about pursuing a career in clinical negligence litigation. They must have a positive, compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities, an interest in medicine, and a genuine desire to help better the lives of people with injuries of the utmost severity.
Previous experience of practicing in clinical negligence is essential.
Strong academics are required.
There are over 10 members of the department, who work out of the firm’s Camden and Hampstead office. The department is ranked as one of London’s leading clinical negligence teams in both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.

Clinical Negligence Paralegal
We require a clinical negligence paralegal to join our award-winning medical negligence department in our Camden office.
The successful applicant will take on the key role of paralegal for a range of clinical negligence tasks working with two experienced clinical negligence solicitors. You will be speaking to individuals who may have had a traumatic experience, and it is therefore crucial that as well as being compassionate and showing empathy, you have the ability to gather key information, to be passed on to our senior solicitors.
Your duties will include assisting solicitors in the department with their client work and updating files; administration on files; setting up new files; organising client and other meetings; preparing documentation to send to third parties and the clients.
The successful candidate must have a law degree, proficient IT skills and an ability to operate document and case management software. Some experience in Personal Injury / Clinical negligence would be advantageous.
In return, you will be working with leading clinical negligence lawyers in London. The department is ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers UK. The team are accredited by Av MA and the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel.

Case handler : Personal Injury Department
We have a vacancy for an experienced case handler in our award- winning Personal Injury department.
The successful applicant will have experience of working on a range of fast and intermediate track personal injury case types and of their own case load.
There are currently 54 members of the department, including 9 partners. We are based in the firm’s Camden office. The department is friendly and lively. We place a strong emphasis on training and development. We operate a hybrid working model.
We require excellent communication skills, proficient IT skills and an ability to operate document and case management software.

NQ-2yrs PQE : Personal Injury Solicitor, Bulgarian speaking
We have a vacancy for a Bulgarian speaking solicitor in our award winning PI department.
The successful applicant will be fluent in Bulgarian and English, with experience of working on a range of personal injury case types, and ideally with experience of their own case load.
The role includes the opportunity to work on catastrophic injury cases with partners.
There are currently 50 members of the department, including 9 partners. We are based in the firm’s Camden office. The department is friendly and lively. We place a strong emphasis on training and development. We operate a hybrid working model.
