Private Client Contentious Solicitor

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor to join the Contentious Trust and Probate Teams which sits within our Private Client department.

The team, and the firm as a whole, have both grown progressively over the years and we are looking for an additional Solicitor to join our Partner and Head of Contentious Private Client, Katie de Swarte, with contentious trusts and probate cases.

You will deal with a full range of contentious trust and probate matters including, but not limited to, will disputes, removal of executors and trustee claims and claims under the Inheritance Act. There is also an opportunity to work on contentious Court of Protection matters.

We are looking for a Solicitor with over 5 years PQE who is eager to build their career doing solely contentious probate work. Being STEP/ACTAPS qualified would be an advantage but is not essential. The successful candidate must have good communication skills and be confident, personable and friendly with the ability to build strong, productive relations with clients.

Personal injury Paralegal – Romanian speaking

Osbornes’ Personal Injury department is one of the largest and most successful in London. We are ranked in both the Legal 500 and Chambers directories and undertake a wide range of work. We specialise in high value and complex claims with a number of the team being recognised as leaders in their field. There are 55 members of the department, based at the firm’s Camden office.

The firm is also ranked as a leading law firm in The Times Best Law Firm Guide and recognised as an ‘Outstanding’ place to work by Best Companies including a top 5 ranking for best mid-sized company to work for in London and best law firm to work for in the UK.

This role involves working closely with partners and senior solicitors on their cases. Suitably qualified applicants will also have their own case load.

The successful applicant will have excellent academics, including legal qualifications, and will be fluent in Romanian and English. Ideally, they will have experience of working as a paralegal. They will also require excellent IT skills.

Personal injury Solicitor – Romanian speaking

This is an excellent opportunity for a Romanian speaking solicitor to join our award winning Personal Injury department based in the firm’s Camden office.

Personal Injury Paralegal

An opportunity has arisen for a personal injury paralegal to join the catastrophic injury team to assist senior solicitors.

The position is to start in December 2025.

This is an excellent opportunity to work as part of a highly respected team. The role includes liaising with some of the country’s leading medical experts and counsels, as well as speaking to clients and their families, so a professional, sensitive and personable approach is required. Assistance on all aspects of catastrophic injury litigation is needed. The role can be challenging at times, but also affords an excellent opportunity to develop a range of skills and contacts essential for anyone wanting to progress in this area of law or more generally in high court litigation.

The ideal candidate will be bright, articulate and enthusiastic about pursuing a career in catastrophic personal injury litigation. They must have a positive, compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities, and a genuine desire to help improve the lives of people with injuries of the utmost severity.

Previous experience of assisting a catastrophic injury solicitor/partner on their cases is preferable but not essential. A good degree mark (a solid 2:1 or above, but not necessarily a law degree, is required). It is not a requirement to have completed the LPC, but candidates ultimately seeking a training contract with Osbornes are encouraged to apply, as are those looking to pursue a different route to qualify as a solicitor.

There are currently 55 members of the department, including nine partners, who work out of the firm’s Camden office. The department is ranked as one of London’s leading personal injury teams, specialising in catastrophic injury claims.

Housing Solicitor

We are recruiting for a full-time solicitor with experience in housing law to join our expanding and award-winning Housing and Social Care team. Experience in community care and public law would also be desirable, but not essential.

The role will provide an exciting opportunity for the successful solicitor to handle a diverse caseload.

Applications from solicitors of 2-year PQE and above will be considered.

The successful candidate will be given responsibility over their caseload from the outset and are expected to have good knowledge of the law, current policies and legal aid. The successful candidate will also be supported by a close team of colleagues within an open plan office.

Salaries are highly competitive, and benefits include flexible working and significant opportunities for learning and personal development.

Personal Injury Hungarian speaking Paralegal

We have a vacancy for a Hungarian speaking paralegal in our award winning PI department.
There are currently 48 members of the department, including eight partners, and we work out of the firm’s Camden office.

The successful applicant will be fluent in Hungarian and English, and have experience of assisting with case work, but not necessarily of running a case load. We require excellent communication skills, proficient IT skills and an ability to operate document and case management software.

We offer a competitive salary dependent on experience.

Property Litigation Solicitor 

Osbornes’ Property Litigation team is looking to recruit a solicitor between 5 -10 PQE to join its growing team based in the Camden and Hampstead offices. The ideal candidate will have the ability to generate new work assisting with business development and supporting the growth of the team.

You will be dealing with a range of disputes including:

  • Commercial and residential landlord and tenant disputes such as rent recovery, possession and forfeiture claims
  • Enforcement of easements/rights of way and restrictive covenants
  • Beneficial interest disputes
  • Party Wall disputes

Experience in construction disputes could be an advantage.

Candidates will also have the ability to work well in a team, show excellent initiative and ability to think on their feet. The firm offers supportive, friendly and open culture and working environment as well as flexible and hybrid working. There are excellent prospects for the right candidate.
