Compensación de £60 000 para la reclamación de una peatona
Laura Swaine hace poco consiguió una compensación para una peatona que fue atropellada por un coche que giró a una calle secundaria. Laura consiguió unas £60 000 para nuestra clienta.
Nuestra clienta volvía caminando a casa después del trabajo. Vio que no pasaba nadie antes de cruzar. Estaba en medio del cruce cuando el demandado giró la esquina a toda velocidad y la atropelló.
La clienta sufrió heridas graves
Nuestra clienta sufrió heridas graves, como la fractura expuesta de la tibia, un coágulo de sangre en el pulmón y un shock psicológico grave. Necesitó cirugía en el tobillo y estuvo hospitalizada durante varias semanas. Su lesión le impidió ir o volver de trabajar.
La aseguradora negó responsabilidad
La aseguradora negó responsabilidad, sin embargo, hicieron una oferta antes de que la demandante se sometiera a otra cirugía. La oferta hizo que se sintiera muy presionada en un momento de vulnerabilidad.
Primera oferta aceptada
Laura organizó una intervención de rehabilitación temprana para ayudar en la recuperación de nuestra clienta. Nuestra clienta decidió aceptar otra oferta anticipada que le hizo el demandado, porque estaba deseando terminar con el asunto… Laura le explicó que en ese momento no podían saber el valor de la reclamación porque no sabían cómo iba a ser su recuperación. Tratar con este tema le estaba afectando y prefería seguir con su vida.
Laura ha sido clasificada recientemente como “Associate to Watch” (socia prometedora) en Chambers and Partners. Laura se especializa en lesiones graves y accidentes mortales, tal y como acredita la Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (Asociación de Abogados de Lesiones Personales).
