Acuerdo de £75 000 para un ciclista
Nicola Hall, abogada especialista en accidentes de bicicleta, obtuvo un acuerdo por £75,000 para un ciclista al que un coche tiró de la bici, le hizo golpear el capó y el parabrisas del coche y cayó a la carretera.
El ciclista solo quería dar una vuelta en bici por su localidad. Mientras iba por la carretera principal, un conductor salió de repente de un supermercado Sainsbury’s, giró a la derecha y se cruzó en el camino de nuestro cliente. Tanto la policía como la ambulancia acudieron al lugar.
Nuestro cliente fue trasladado a un hospital en ambulancia aérea y permaneció ingresado por traumatismo durante 10 días. El ciclista sufrió varias fracturas en la pelvis, un hematoma pélvico que requirió una transfusión de 3 unidades de sangre, una lesión en el hombro y daños psicológicos como consecuencia del accidente. Necesitó cuidados y asistencia tanto de las autoridades locales como de sus familiares tras ser dado de alta del hospital.
Varias pertenencias del cliente se dañaron debido al accidente. Además, incurrió en gastos de viaje y médicos, así como en ayudas y equipamiento para su propiedad.
El conductor admitió responsabilidad, sin deducción alguna por negligencia contributiva y Nicola consiguió negociar una buena cifra para el ciclista.
