Osbornes personal injury solicitors won £57,000 compensation for a man injured while walking his dog in the street

Charlotte Williams acted for pensioner Mr E who was injured whilst walking his dog.

An unsecured metal street works sign blew off the ground in a gust of wind and struck him in the face, knocking him over.

He suffered a shoulder injury which left him with permanent nuisance symptoms, an injury to his hip, a minor head injury causing concussion and multiple lacerations to his face leaving him with facial scarring.

He also lost several teeth and the dental expert in the case concluded that the accident had brought forward the loss of these teeth.

Finally, the Claimant, who prior to the accident had been very independent and outgoing, lost confidence as a result of the accident and its effects and suffered from a major episode of depression.

It was recommended that he undergo costly pain management treatment to aid his recovery both physically and psychologically and the cost of the treatment was factored into the settlement he finally received in the sum of £57,500.
