On 900 metres of brutally steep roads, cyclists of all kinds came together to conquer Swain’s Lane the legendary climb that defines the Urban Hill Climb. Averaging an 8% gradient and peaking at a punishing 20%, it’s the only closed-road hill climb in Greater London and a highlight of the UK cycling calendar.
Osbornes Law was proud to sponsor the 2025 edition of this much-loved event. From elite racers to families on e-bikes and cargo cycles, the Hill Climb welcomes everyone making it not just a race, but a celebration of London’s cycling spirit. And this year, several of our own team members joined the climb, cheered on by colleagues and the local community.

Hi, my name is Sam Collard. I’m a partner and head of cycling at Osborne’s. We’re here at the LCC urban hill climb. Today, uh we’ve been the LCC’s trusted legal partner since 2014. We’re supporting them here by sponsoring this event today. My colleague Louis is about to take part in the in the urban hill climb and some of our dedicated cycling team are here stood behind me to help support the event.
