Sarah’s financial practice consists of divorce and the associated financial remedies for a wide range of clients including those with modest means and those where the assets exceed £10m or there are complex issues, such as jurisdictional issues or complex business/trust structures. Sarah is particularly known for her work dealing with nuptial agreements (pre nups or post nups) including those that have an international element and separation agreements/deeds. As part of her practice, Sarah has substantial experience in dealing with financial matters for unmarried couples (whether TOLATA or under Schedule 1 of the Children Act) and third-party disputes involving intervening or joining proceedings to protect third party interests, such as grandparents protecting their interest in a matrimonial home.
As part of Sarah’s private children practice, Sarah advises parents with general child arrangements and more specific applications including internal/external relocation or leave to remove. Having two young children of her own greatly assists Sarah’s advice and compassion.
Sarah is committed to resolving cases as amicably as possible and has an excellent track record in settling cases out of court using alternative methods of dispute resolution such as private FDR’s, mediation or arbitration but can be an effective litigator when required.
Clients value Sarah’s straightforward and cost-effective approach to her cases.
Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in 2011, having completed her training at Anthony Gold Solicitors. Sarah joined Osbornes Solicitors in September 2016.
Sarah is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in complex Financial Remedies and Cohabitation / TOLATA claims. This means she has demonstrated the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to undertake this kind of work.
Sarah is co-chair of the Litigants in Person Resolution Committee and regularly volunteered for the Citizens Advice Bureau.
