Personal injury solicitors for Polish clients
Polish nationals make up one of the largest communities in England and Wales. If you have come from Poland to live or work here and have suffered an injury caused by someone else’s negligence, you can make a claim under the law of England and Wales.
The personal injury system here is based on proving that another party was at fault. Claims often move forward more predictably than in Poland, and compensation for pain and suffering is typically higher. Our Polish-speaking lawyers will explain the process clearly in Polish, so you understand exactly what you are entitled to and how the claim works.
We specialise in serious injury claims but also help with more straightforward injuries arising from a wide variety of accidents.
Medical negligence solicitors for Polish clients
Our Polish solicitors also act for clients who have suffered harm because they received poor medical treatment in England or Wales.
Medical negligence, also called clinical negligence, occurs when the care you receive falls below the standard expected of a competent healthcare professional, and that failure causes you harm. Proving this can be complex and usually depends on independent expert medical evidence.
Having a Polish-speaking lawyer by your side means you can talk through your experience in your own language and fully understand the medical and legal terms involved. We can also arrange interpreters for medical assessments where needed.
No win no fee explained
We handle almost all personal injury and medical negligence claims under a Conditional Fee Agreement, which most people know as “no win no fee”.
No win no fee means you do not pay any legal fees upfront to start your claim. If the claim succeeds, you pay a pre-agreed success fee from your compensation. If the claim does not succeed, you pay nothing for our work.
An insurance policy usually covers the other side’s legal costs, so you are also protected if the case does not go your way.
Our Polish solicitors will explain all of this with you in Polish before you decide whether to make a claim.

Frequently asked questions
Can I speak to a Polish solicitor? Yes. Osbornes has Polish-speaking lawyers who can discuss your case with you in Polish from the first call. We can provide information in Polish or English and will make sure you understand everything clearly before you sign anything.
Do you act for clients outside London? Yes. Our offices are in Camden and Hampstead, but we act for Polish clients across the UK. Most of the claims process can be handled by phone, video call and email, so you do not need to travel to see us regularly.
How much does a claim cost? We act on a no win no fee basis for almost all personal injury and medical negligence claims. This means you pay nothing upfront, and our fee is taken as an agreed percentage of your compensation if the claim succeeds. If the claim does not succeed, you pay nothing for our work. We explain all of this in Polish at your first consultation.
How long do I have to make a claim? The general time limit is three years from the date of your injury, or from when you first realised that your injury might be linked to someone else’s mistake. Some exceptions apply, for example for children, or for adults who cannot manage their own affairs. Get advice as soon as possible, because it is easier to collect strong evidence when less time has passed.
Can I claim if I am not a British citizen? Yes. You do not need to be a British citizen to make a personal injury or medical negligence claim in England and Wales. The law protects everyone injured here, regardless of nationality or immigration status. Your right to claim is not affected by your visa, settled status or pre-settled status.
What kinds of injury do you handle? We handle a wide range of claims, from serious injuries such as brain injuries, spinal injuries and amputations, to more straightforward claims involving fractures, soft tissue injuries and whiplash. For medical negligence, we act in cases involving misdiagnosis, surgical errors, birth injuries, GP negligence and many other types of poor care.
