Many of the cases George works on with Ed Taylor involve asylum seekers who have been assigned the wrong age by the Home Office. He helps clients have their correct date of birth (DOB) recognised by the Home Office, which often involves judicial review proceedings.
George also supports Ed Taylor and Alex McMahon on cases involving homelessness and social care. He helps clients secure suitable accommodation from their local authority that meets their individual needs. This often involves challenging local councils to ensure they provide the housing to which our clients are entitled.
George communicates with clients to help them understand their legal proceedings, as well as drafting letters to local authorities and the Home Office to advocate on their behalf.
George’s areas of expertise include:
George graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Philosophy in 2024. He subsequently completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) in 2026. During his PGDL, George spent a year volunteering at an advice centre, where he specialised in Personal Independence Payment (PIP) appeals. He prepared tribunal appeals with clients and accompanied them to hearings, providing support throughout the process to help them secure the benefits to which they were entitled.
Outside of work, George is a keen backpacker, climber and swimmer. In 2025, he spent six months hiking the length of the United States from Mexico to Canada.
