Below are some interesting cases which the personal injury team at Osbornes have been involved in throughout January 2012.
Recovered £200,000 for a chef who was hit by a car when crossing the road. He fractured his ankle and was unlikely to be able to work again as a chef.
Recovered £12,045 for Mrs B when her dentist positioned a dental implant wrongly in her gum when she was having a dental implant fitted.
Recovered £5,000 for the husband of an elderly lady who was made to walk down the stairs on her own when her husband called an ambulance to take her to hospital and she fell down the stairs.
Recovered £8,000 for a lady who cut her leg on a wire sticking out of a settee while on a package holiday in Antigua.
Recovered £11,500 for a lady who was working as a cleaner of a hospital ward in which some of the patients were HIV positive or had hepatitis, when she was scratched by a needle of a hypodermic syringe that had not been disposed of correctly. She was so anxious about the possibility of having contracted either of these infections that she could not function properly for the 7 months it took to ascertain that she had not contracted either disease. Fortunately the tests that were carried out after 7 months established that she had not contracted either disease and she made a full recovery.
