Osbornes solicitors LLP are delighted to announce that they have been appointed by AGE UK Camden (AUC) on the charity’s ‘Plan Ahead – Legal and Financial Matters’ project.
Following the tender process the firm was chosen as the preferred legal partner of AUC for this project which will be launching on Wednesday July 23 2014.
AUC is a charity that has served the interests of all older citizens of the London Borough of Camden over the last 40 years, helping them “make the most of life”.
Although locally independent, Age UK Camden is affiliated to Age UK and Age UK London, which campaign vigorously on behalf of older people at National and Regional level.
The Plan Ahead project is aimed at encouraging and supporting members of the local community to ensure that their legal and financial affairs are in order by sign posting them to Osbornes, the preferred legal provider and an independent financial advisor also appointed by AUC.
Jan Atkinson, head of the Wills, Probate and Disputed Estates department at Osbornes comments:
“Osbornes are extremely pleased to have been chosen by AUC to work with them on the Plan Ahead project. The challenges identified by AUC, which many in the local community are facing, with the right help and advice are totally manageable. This project is all about providing this assistance and empowering the community to make some serious and very often difficult decisions to safeguard and plan for not only their futures, but that of their loved ones”.
The next eighteen months will see Osbornes along with AUC undertake a roadshow across the borough of nine events, promoting the new Plan Ahead project, meeting and assisting those who will find the service of use.
