Osbornes solicitors has had two departments and five solicitors recognised in the 2013 edition of the independent legal directory Chambers & Partners.
The family department at Osbornes has been ranked as a leading family law and matrimonial team in London for another year, making a first time appearance in band three.
Mark Freedman, specialist divorce solicitor, who himself is ranked as a leading individual in Chambers commented:
“The ranking which we have achieved this year is an unprecedented success for the whole department. When we moved up the bands last year we were so pleased, however to move up another band in quick succession is fantastic for the whole department who are now motivated to build on this momentum. As a team we are continually making sure we provide all of our clients with a gold standard service and the fact that our fellow professionals across the family law sector recognise this is a great reward and very satisfying”.
The firm also sustained its band two ranking in the children: cross border disputes category and as well as Mark being recognised as a leading individual for another year, Naomi Angell, specialist adoption lawyer and Simone McGrath, who specialises in child abduction also retained their leading individual status.
Department head Julian Beard was a new entry in the 2013 directory and is also ranked as a leading individual. The directory described him as “focused, innovative and cost-conscious.”
Moving away from family law there was success for Stuart Kightley, joint head of the personal injury department at Osbornes.
Stuart is yet again ranked as a leading personal injury lawyer in the directory and is described as “immensely impressive”, “focused on serious head injury cases and gains high praise from top claimant solicitors and clients alike”.
“The personal injury sector is huge with a great number of personal injury lawyers people can choose from. To be consistently recognised as a leading individual and personal injury lawyer is a massive compliment, especially as it comes from other lawyers and barristers. This year I am especially pleased that our expertise in head injury claims and rehabilitation has been noted. To specialise in head injuries personal injury claims means that we meet individuals who have had their entire lives changed after an accident and to play a part in helping them on the road to recovery is extremely rewarding for me and the whole team”.
Another new entry in the 2013 directory saw the social housing department debut in band 3. Head of department Shilpa Mathuradas comments: “Internally we have always felt that the team was extremely strong and provides a first class client service. Having this view accredited by Chambers 2013 is fantastic for the whole department, who are totally committed and dedicated to all clients”.
