Osbornes Solicitors has signed The Times newspaper’s “Cities fit for Cycling” campaign. It follows the 10th cycling fatality in Britain since the beginning of 2012.
The accident occurred on Friday 3rd February at a busy junction on Bishopsgate, London, when the cyclist was knocked down by a Terravision airport coach.
The death came on the day that the 11,000th person signed up to The Times cycle safe campaign to prevent such deaths from occurring. The campaign has now received official backing from the All-Party Parliamentary Group which has pledged to table an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons in support of the campaign.
Various high profile individuals are supporting the campaign including Lord Sugar, Olympians James Cracknell and Sir Chris Hoy, singer Florence Welch and all major candidates for the London mayoral elections.
