How long will my claim take?

News article published on: 24th June 2014

Although there is no written rule as to how long a head injury claim will take it is common for claims for compensation for a head or brain injury to take 3 years and in some cases longer. The reason for this lengthy period of time is because it is important to ensure how your brain injury is going to affect your future and to assess all your future needs. This time period will enable your solicitor to value your claim properly. You should not expect your case to be settled quickly; in fact a quick settlement will probably not be in your best interest.

Your solicitor should be able to obtain an interim payment for you whilst your case is on-going.
