Recovered £5,000 for the husband of an elderly lady who was made to walk down the stairs on her own when her husband called an ambulance to take her to hospital and she fell down the stairs.
Recovered £8,000 for a lady who cut her leg on a wire sticking out of a settee while on a package holiday in Antigua.
Recovered £11,500 for a lady who was working as a cleaner of a hospital ward in which some of the patients were HIV positive or had hepatitis when she was scratched by a needle of a hypodermic syringe that had not been disposed of correctly. She was so anxious about the possibility of having contracted either of these infections that she could not function properly for the 7 months it took to ascertain that she had not contracted either disease. Fortunately, the tests that were carried out after 7 months established that she had not contracted either disease and she made a full recovery.
