A new Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme
News article published on: 18th June 2014
The Law Society is launching a Wills and Inheritance Quality Scheme, known as ‘WIQS’. This is a new quality standard for solicitors’ practices which specialise in wills, probate and estate administration work.
It requires the accredited firms to undertake specialised training, self-reporting, random audits and annual reviews to maintain the WIQS status.
The Law Society has said that applicants will undergo a “rigorous assessment” and the scheme is about promoting best practice and recognising quality of delivery and service.
WIQS has now opened for applications and we have completed and submitted ours and we hope to obtain accreditation in early 2014.
