Andrew has specialised in family law since 1997. Originally employed as a non-practising barrister, he qualified as a solicitor in July 2001, becoming a partner in June 2012.
He is a member of Lincoln’s Inn and of Resolution. He is Chair of Resolution’s standards committee and regularly drafts good practice guides for the benefit of the profession.
Andrew’s caseload focuses on financial disputes with an asset base generally between £1,000,000 – £10,000,000. Andrew tends to focus on the more complex areas of financial disputes, such as those with issues related to confiscation, bankruptcy, non-disclosure or international issues.
As an accredited specialist in cohabitation matters, Andrew also advises non-married clients and property owners in respect of their property rights and interests and has represented his clients in many successful negotiations and hearings regarding their interest in property.
Andrew also has a detailed knowledge of and extensive experience in the appropriate drafting of pre-nuptial agreements and post-nuptial agreements as well as in relation to the impact that these agreements have in the event of a divorce.
Andrew also regularly advises and assists his clients in relation to disputes regarding the care of children.
Andrew is a qualified mediator and undertakes family mediation in relation to the implications on finances and on children following separation.
